He said I needed the best hand surgeon he knew to do a skin graft over a partially degloved finger. He called Dr. Abeyewardene on his private phone and told him I needed him to meet me at St. Mary’s ER. He met me there and had the special equipment to treat me. My recovery has been over five weeks, and I am doing great. Part of the problem was not knowing if I would lose the finger. Dr. Abeyewardene told me that wasn’t going to happen. He and PBOI have been there for me, and they inspire confidence. He and the entire staff of PBOI are the best.”

I’ve seen him for follow-ups in preparation for surgery to graft skin over the site. I feel confident that it will go smoothly. If I ever have the misfortune to injure myself again I will seek help from Dr. Abeyewardene or other appropriate doctors from Palm Beach Orthopedic Institute.”
