Back Reviews

“I have an L4 and L5 on my back. Dr. Robinson keeps an eye on me all the time. He always tells me what to do to make me feel better. I needed to have wound care involved, and he jumped onto it until I had a date for them, and then he still kept up with my situation. He is a great doctor who cares for his patients.”

“When I met with Dr. Robinson, he listened to me. He was not the type of doctor who assumed they knew it all. He showed me the x-Rays and explained the CAT-Scans to explain my options. In my case, surgery was the only option. I normally don't trust surgeons who go straight to surgery, but I understood why I was experiencing so much pain when I saw the results. The surgery was complex, and another surgeon on the team offered to help out. They decided to break the operation into two sessions, so I was not under anesthesia too long. I will be 73 in one month. Together they spent 90 minutes pulling the old plastic facets out of my vertebrae, knowing that any misstep could cause me significant problems. A day-and-a-half later, they installed the required hardware from the backside. Dr. Robinson told me that I had recovered faster than any other patient he had. I went home the next day. I spent one day using a walker. I moved like a snail the next few days, then a turtle. Now I am walking almost normally, and, in a few days, I have My four-week checkup. I am doing a lot of sleeping and eating. I have told my friends who have asked what I need to think of me as a new puppy that needs to be walked, but NO pooper scooper duty is required. If anyone had told me that I would have done this well at my age, I would not believe them. Dr. Robinson and Dr. Hotchkiss had a real challenge in front of them and they not only achieved but succeeded in a way I never thought possible. I can't wait to see where my body functions are for 2022! Thank you to all the amazing doctors, staff, clinicians, PT, nurses, and the rest of the team for helping me through this procedure.”
