“Up until my meeting with Dr. Moorthy, I had to use either a walker or a cane to walk. I was also living with pain in both legs for the past 9 months. He used recently performed X-ray exams by other doctors at Golden State, new MRI scans, and my medical history to diagnose my problems. He was empathetic and practical. He diagnosed my problem and provided steroid injections into both of my knees. He said that it would provide some relief and may make using a walker or cane unnecessary. Dr. Moorthy suggested I keep a diary or log of my progress. The next day, following the visit, I no longer needed any assistance walking. In fact, by the second week, I was able to resume riding my e-bike 3-4 days a week (with an average trip of 20 miles) without any pain at all. I can take my dogs on daily walks and trips to the park. I realize the steroid injections are not a permanent solution and that the pain relief may only last for a period of time. But so far, it’s been wonderful to get my life back. It’s been over 2 months, and I still feel great. I should also mention the other doctors I saw at Golden State, particularly the PAs, who were outstanding in providing me with comfort, care, and assistance.”

“I am very glad I chose to have Dr. Moorthy do my surgery, which involved arch reconstruction. His advice was great. I had previously seen several podiatrists, and I was wearing a painful brace. Dr. Moorthy had a more conservative approach in deciding how many problems to fix in one surgery. It was a rather major surgery and recovery for me since I had pain on both sides of my foot. I eventually opted to have Dr. Moorthy remove a screw once the bone graft had healed. Removing the screw went very well. I felt immediate relief from pain once it was out. Eleven months out, I am excited to be able to walk and do so much more. Dr. Moorthy’s PA, Alyssa, was helpful and supportive. Thanks to them both.
