“This will be my third surgery with Dr. Kronick. My first was my right knee. I was referred by Stanford at ValleyCare Pleasanton because of my history of joint infection and advanced state of degeneration. They said he is the best surgeon, particularly for complex cases. The right knee replacement took place in 2 stages. One where the knee was cleaned out, and antibiotic paste was put in, while I also had a 6-week course of IV antibiotics at home. The second surgery was the actual knee replacement. That was over 2 years ago. My knee did well, and I am very pleased with the results. Now I am having my left knee replaced. With less degeneration than the first and no history of infection, this replacement will be a single-stage procedure. I have complete confidence in the ability of Dr. Kronick and his associate, David Brand. One can never be certain of the outcome of any surgery, but I am confident that the odds of full success are at a maximum. I don’t think there is any surgeon who can do significantly better.”
