To this day, I vividly remember hiking with several students in the Cascade Mountains of Northern California when I injured my left hip coming down a steep incline. I returned to Lancaster and scheduled an appointment to see Dr. Cooke, whom I chose via a statistical analysis available on the web. A set of X-rays were taken before I even saw Dr. Cooke. When he entered the examining room, the X-rays were on the computer screen courtesy of his PA. I took a couple of steps with a very noticeable left leg limp. Watching me and then looking at the x-rays, he said that the x-rays indicated my right hip was in worse shape than my left, but since doctors like him treat people and not x-rays, I was definitely in need of surgery on my left hip. My right hip was pain-free until late spring 2024 when its time had come. Naturally, I contacted Dr. Cooke's office at OAL.”
