I’ve never had surgery before and had no idea what to expect, but Dr. Hartzog made sure I stayed informed and gave me all the information as far as what to expect. He checked in on me before surgery, seemed confident in performing my procedure, and still managed to keep my nerves at ease. The surgery was flawless and I went home the same day. Checkup the week after surgery was eventful, to say the least. I was overwhelmed, stressed because I was still coping with being immobile, and scared for PT coming up. He came in and calmed me down, once again, and made sure I felt better before leaving his office. Extremely thankful for his knowledge and expertise.”

Knee Reviews
“Dr. Hartzog is the very best. No lie. This was my 3rd knee surgery and 3rd different doctor to perform them. I’ve had many surgeries in my life, and this was the smoothest, most painless, best surgery I’ve ever experienced. No stress. The IV didn’t even hurt. It’s been 7 days and I’m above where I should be on recovery right now. That says a lot about how good of a surgeon he is. I saw the surgery pics today and saw where he went above and beyond what he was to do. I have bad arthritis in both knees and he explained to me several times prior to surgery he couldn’t fix that which I totally understand and wasn’t expecting him to even try to do anything. However, while inside my knee, after he repaired the torn meniscus, he also scraped and smoothed the bad areas on the bones to make it a tad better so I can put off knee replacement for a few years. The pain afterward, at the highest, was a 4. I’ve never had such a wonderful outcome from surgery. I only wish I would have had Dr. Hartzog back in 2014 when I had my last knee surgery because I'm sure my other knee wouldn’t be bone on bone now. That other doctor who did that knee surgery messed my knee up badly. Love Dr. Hartzog because he is so good.”
