“For the past year, I couldn't walk 100 feet before sharp sciatica pain down the right leg. Yesterday -13 days after surgery, I walked 3 miles with no pain. So glad I got a second opinion, and thank the stars that it was Dr. Riccio.”

“I met with Dr. Riccio for a second opinion on lower back surgery for a ruptured disc and sciatica. I quickly decided that his thoughtful approach and recommendation for my problem was the best and least invasive approach. He was able to free up my L5-S1 nerve by removing the obstructing material in my lower back, and I was out of the hospital the same day. My recovery from sciatic pain and limitations has been excellent after less than two weeks, and I can walk miles per day again. I have already recommended him to a friend, noting that he trained in both neuro and orthopedic surgery, and as a result, has a balanced approach to spinal problems. I feel very fortunate that he was my surgeon for such intricate and demanding surgery.”
