Shoulder Reviews
“Dr. Goldman is the absolute best orthopedic surgeon, hands-down. I’ve had many experiences with him; he replaced my ex-husband’s hips and was amazing. I recently had a pretty complicated shoulder issue. I also have other health issues and a lot of chronic pain. An MRI showed that I had a torn rotator cuff and three very large calcifications. Another doctor gave me injections that did not work. When I saw Dr. Goldman, I was in excruciating pain. Dr. Goldman did a thorough exam. He reviewed my MRI and discussed the options with me. He listened to me, which made me very happy because many doctors don’t listen to what you say. I did not want open surgery if I didn’t need to because this was my dominant arm, and I didn’t want many months of recovery. Dr. Goldman devised a plan to go in arthroscopically, make all the repairs, and remove the calcifications. He told me we may have to switch to open surgery if he could not get the largest calcification. When I had my surgery, I knew it could’ve turned into something significant. When I woke up, I had no pain because of the nerve block. Dr. Goldman spoke to me and told me that I had a torn labrum, a torn bicep, and a tear in my rotator cuff. He cleaned it all up. He could not remove all the calcifications but told me to see how things went. It has been three months, and the pain I had from my injuries is gone. I have a little discomfort from the calcification, but I can handle it for now. I have had a great experience with Dr. Goldman. I wanted a doctor who knew his stuff, and Dr. Goldman was the best. He communicates thoroughly. I highly recommend him for orthopedic surgery.”

“I love Dr. Goldman. I have a shoulder injury, and many issues showed up on the MRI. There was the possibility of open surgery; Dr. Goldman could have easily done the open surgery, but he opted not to. After going in, he repaired what he could arthroscopically. The repaired damages coincided with the pain I was experiencing, and rather than putting me through a much more complex procedure and recovery time, I feel that he made the best choice. I am six days out from surgery, and while I have the expected surgical pain, the areas that I couldn’t touch before and that have kept me up all night for months are already so much better. I am beyond happy that he was conservative and didn’t take the easy route for him but instead took the best route for me.”
